Tribal rugs, antique oriental weavings and Indonesian textiles are my specialities
Hello and welcome to the Heritage Rugs website. I`m Gene Dunford and I`ve been buying and selling antique oriental rugs since 1988.
My interest in antique oriental weavings is focused on tribal rugs, Turcomen, Afshar, Quashgai, Khamseh, Belouch, and Kurd pieces. Bags and bag faces appeal and I am particularly attracted to good saturated colours. However I cannot resist a good Caucasian, and I have a soft spot for Turkish village pieces.
In textiles, I am keen on African and Indonesian textiles, especially Kuba raffias, and Sumba weavings.
